FoxFibre yarns are all made from certified organic cotton or wool. The cotton is bred for its color... not dyed.

FoxFibre's raw unboiled yarns are not treated in any way, they have natural waxes which may be removed with hot water and washing soda or soap or detergent. Once removed, the fabric will absorb moisture like any other cotton. If you want a more watertight construction, wash your fabrics in cool water with a wool washing soap or shampoo to preserve the waxes.
